Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris

Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris

$35.00

SC Pannell

Pinot Gris and Grigio are one and the same grape - a mutant clone of Pinot Noir. Gris meaning grey in French, while Grigio is grey in Italian, both referring to the pinky grey colour of the grape when it is ripe. I love the variety and what it can offer, and believe it has a significant role to play in the future of the Adelaide Hills. Season plays a role in authenticity. Frost and a small crop produced highly concentrated fruit flavours in 2019 that didn’t lend themselves to an Italian style. A season that dictated a plush and generous wine more typical of Pinot Gris.

  • Varietal - Pinot Gris
  • Size - 750mL
  • Alcohol Volume - 13%
  • Region - Adelaide Hills
